Black Political Thought: Deputy Chris Bieze Tasers Kathryn Winkfein, 72, During Routine Traffic Stop, Dashboard Camera Shows Encounter

  • John · 6 months ago
This is unbelievable. A man of his size should NEVER have had to resort to such force on an elderly citizen of these United States.
If a man his size is unable to communicate effectively with someone even when they are acting out of control then he needs to be Tased himself and thenrelieved of duty without pay or benefits.

I am sure if he would have resorted to difusing the situation a little better by simply showing some common respect. ALL officers should accepting the fact most motorists are upset when they are pulled over (sometimes for no apparent reason), some may be legitimate.

Barking "Dominate the Situation" commands at anyone does nothing but insite rage/anger/and malice towards the other individual. You can't control any situation through such tacticts.

I would think there would be a little more intelligence from Mr. Bieze but appearantly years of being on the force has tainted his clear and rational thinking.

Did we see the same video? The one I saw shows him giving about a million verbal instructions to granny and her ignoring them all before he finally tazers her. I thought he showed more than enough restraint.
  • Nhat · 6 months ago
Hey Kyle, do you really think you NEED to taser a 72 year old woman? The Guy is a foot and a half taller than her and outweighs her by 100 pounds. He can't handle her without a taser?
  • Shane · 6 months ago
man, thats just weak. Ok, she was a little monster, but to taser a 72 year old woman? I thought the cops had to be in danger to use violence like that. Wow, welcome to Orwellian society 2009.

If I see this this piece of crap out, I WILL kick the dog crap out of him.

What an awful thing. If he had acted the least professional she would not have acted the way she did. 250 pounds against 70 always wins. He is use to bullying. I hope she sues the pants off of him and his Nazi boss. What a coward freek!!!!!

What was he supposed to do? Traditional physical restraint would have broken a hip! He is lucky he pushed her or she would be out in traffic. He was professional and protective.

"What was he supposed to do? Traditional physical restraint would have broken a hip! He is lucky he pushed her or she would be out in traffic. He was professional and protective."

Taser may cause a heart arrest and death even done to younger. He knew the age of old woman. And a hip/and other bones may break hitting to ground after tasering as well..

Have you ever wondered how these kind of situations were solved be for tasers existed? The police was twice as big even in weight ratio and the woman was not armed. He could have just crabbed her and handcuffed her with out extra effort.

    The police was a moron..

This was ridiculous. I couldn't believe me eyes. But at the same time your comment

"Thank God for the dashcam because the truth would have never come to light. Think of all the young African American and Latinos men that have been tasered at will by these cops with no real reason to do so? Sorry, but Deputy Bieze needs to be confined to desk duty or kicked off the force. So, too, should all the cops who act as recklessly as he has."

Was utterly stupid. African American and Latinos? Well I'm sorry if they are the ones not obeying the laws and running from cops and doing wrong. Whoever does wrong and deserves it, gets tasered. Sorry that it favors the Afircan Americans and Latinos. They are the ones that make it that way.
  • Janet Shan · 6 months ago
Just -- In case you haven't heard, there have been many cases in which black
and Latino men have been tasered and some have died. I suggest you do a
Google search before you spout off about something you have no knowledge
    about.

Tasers should NOT be used, UNLESS there is a PHYSICAL THREAT to someone.

    PERIOD!

These are not cattle prods to be used to get people to comply. That is complete BS!

Fire the Son of a Bitch? Nononono! MURDER the Son of a Bitch!!!
  • Mike · 6 months ago
I believe police are meant to use tasering as a safe alternative to using a gun. Are those in support of this seriously going to tell me that officer, (and he's not exactly small) would have been justified in shooting the woman in question?
  • Jess · 6 months ago
That's messed up, he could have caused her to have a heart attack.
  • Scott D. Deutsch · 6 months ago
I did some searching, and apparently the coward lives on: Clen Oak Parkway, Burnet Texas, 78611. These web sites won't give me a phone number, though...

Tasers are relatively safe and are an acceptable alternative to physical restraint. Get your head out of your asses people. If it was anyone else, no one would have a problem with it, but when it's either a minority or an older person suddenly everyone freaks out. A criminal is a criminal, and one who doesn't obey direct commands needs to be dealt with. Would you rather he physically restrained her and possibly fractured a bone? Had this went the other way, and she was able to get back to her truck and run the officer down then people wouldn't give a shit. Just another in a long line of on-duty injuries or death. People need to start respecting public servants. Oh ya, Shane, with your "Orwellian society" comment, give it a fucking rest already, this is no where near a totalitarian government, and as long as people quit disobeying police officers it never will be.

"Relatively" safe ??? Tell you what... somebody give me (to borrow...) a fully charged police taser (NOT a civillian taser) and I offer to taser ANYBODY for fifteen seconds. This was the amount of time a college student was tasered in Oxford, Ohio (continuosly!!) He DIED five days later... On the death certificate "electrocution was not mentioned, and to make matters worse, HIS OWN PARENTS (BOTH COPS) NEVER, NEVER, NEVER mentioned how they were going to miss him, etc. The ONLY thing these shits said was "Let the system work itself out." These mental midgets SOLD OUT THEIR OWN KID!!! As to the running down, he already had the plate number; run it, find out where she lives, MAIL THE TICKET TO HER!! We are the bosses; we can make these idiots unemployed, unemployable, or extinct!!! We outrank them, we outnumber them, and we outgun them. WHAT they do BEFORE they get their brains blown out is WHY they get their brains blown out!!! These idiots fail one of three ways: policy, procedure, and personnel (bad laws, screwed-up methodology, or this moron NEVER should have been a cop in the FIRST FUCKING PLACE!!!). We know MORE about our own lives than THEY do, but they act like THEY are the experts. They're NOT!!! They are EMPLOYEES!!! One more thing: There is not a single episode of "COPS" that I have NOT seen where the "Badged Buttheads" did NOT do something SSTTUUPPIIDD!!!

There is another story from Little Rock, Arkansas: "The police officer in a small Arkansas town who used a stun gun on an unruly 10-year-old girl has been fired for violating departmental policy--not for using the Taser, but for failing to use the camera attached to it, according to the town's mayor. Ozark Mayor Vernon McDaniel said he received notice of Officer Dustin Bradshaw's firing Monday morning. Bradshaw previously was suspended for seven days with pay. His termination was effectibe Friday. Police were called to the home Nov. 11 after the girl's mother couldn't get her to take a shower." Do we attempt to determine WHERE Dustin Bradshaw lives, in order to put his address on "RottenNeighbors.com"????

Scott -- I heard about this incident, but a few days after it had hit the air waves. I hope her mother feels like crap. If you can't control a 10 year old kid, then you have some serious issues and shouldn't be in charge of raising that child.
