    I think what Broun really wants to say is, "Oh my God, Obama is an "N"!" but he can't. So he found a new word. A lot of these people are of a generation that were brought up by the most vicious of the Jim Crow/KKK people. Probably not much hope for them. But *their* children will grow up with Barack and Michelle in the White House. Maybe it will help them "evolve."

    Nbmars -- You are right about the new name. I thought the same thing too. It
    is a shame that they continue to have a big issue with his race, at least on
    the down low. I would have hoped that they "old establishment" would at
    least see that the younger generation doesn't see things in black and white
    or along other racial lines. It's about inclusion. Thanks for the comments.

    The Fed is transparent in that it is subject to the oversight of Congress. Is twice a year not fast enough? The intent of Congress in shaping the Federal Reserve Act was to keep politics out of monetary policy. Legislation requires that the Federal Reserve reports annually on its activities to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

    Jason -- the question again is why the secrecy? Yes, they are overseen by
    the Congress, but since this financial mess has started, how much does
    Congress really know about what Paulson & Co. is doing? I agree with
    Bloomberg, the truth needs to come out as to where this money went.

    Janet...I just read your hysterical defense of the Obama proposed national security force answering to him exclusively, that is as strong as the U.S. military, Sounds more like an "Obama security force". In other words he's proposing his own "Republican Guard" like other islamo-fascist tyrants world-wide have. Wonder what he's afraid of??
